Campbellsport Area Chamber of Commerce Directors Meeting

Wednesday April 13, 2005

Present: Judy Holzman, Joel Fleischman, Jackie Lindsley, Julie Roth, Dean Uelmen, Patti Schickert, Lori Galligan, Dale and Lois Zingsheim, Jackie Rindt, Sherri Loehr, Andrea Hanson Abler and Larry Koffman

Meeting was called to order by Pres. Judy Holzman.

Committee Reports:

Information and Tourism:

Andrea reported that the Campbellsport Area Tourism booklets will be distributed May.

Judy Holzman reported that the CACC will be included in the AD/Welcome letter in the annual Kettle Moraine Visitors Guide

Ribbon cuttings: Valley Hydro-April 13^th. Andrea will contact Jean Janz to set one up for "Fire Bug", and Campbellsport Inn grand opening is scheduled for May.

Development:

Joel presented the new CAB project and the web site will have the applications and requirements for businesses to receive this grant money. A motion has made by Dean Uelmen to approve this community project, 2^nd by Larry Koffman-motion carried.

Erin Enterprises has shown interest in having a Farmer’s Market in their parking lot on Saturday’s. We are looking for someone to chair this event. There will be a minimal fee to all vendors.

There will be a meeting on 4-19-05 at King Pin Lanes to discuss the Firemen’s Picnic.

Promotions/Events:

Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success. Over 400 bags of candy were handed out.

Jackie asked the Chamber their feelings on Beer being sold at the Halloween Caper. After some discussion, it was voted not to serve alcohol at this family event.

Treasurer’s Report:

Julie gave a treasures report and the net check book balance is $ 12,712.40 with $8,757.82 in the money market account. Julie made a motion to earmark $1,000.00 for the Halloween caper ($500.00 for fireworks). Motion carried

Memberships: We will ask Judy Christensen to call the remaining members to see if they are interested in being a part of the CACC. This will be done in May.

New Business:

Main Street Beautification: We will purchase the plants from the Campbellsport FFA. All local businesses may e responsible for the care of these planters. There will be a meeting on 4-14-05 at the Campbellsport INN to discuss the care of the planters.

The Fond du Lac Symphonic Band will present their concert on June 30^th at Firemen’s park.

The CACC Spring newsletter will be mailed out by the end of April.

Lois Zingsheim discussed a new business "The Lunch Box" opening soon. This business is where the old Park View Drive-In was (Corner of 67 and HWY 45). They will emphasize take out’s (subs, pizza’s, ice-cream ect). Owners are Sue and Matt Kissinger.

The next meeting will be May11th 7:00 a.m.- site to be determined.
