Minutes for Meeting held April, 11, 2006
 
Information and Tourism
 
Andrea discussed the Farmers Market. Steve Vogelman may not be able to run the market. It was determined that Ben Franklin would take care of the forms to give to the vendors. There is no rent to collect. Vendors will be there from 8-11a.m. The market will open whenever a vendor has something to sell.Any other questions should be directed to Andrea.
 
The Chamber will not be doing anything with the current booklets. The maps should be changed as well.
 
The Sign that is now on the Gus Christ land will be taken down. It is totally dilapidated and is not a welcoming sign for tourist to read. A new sign will be erected in the triangle at the end of Division Road. It will cost $75 a year. The committee will check with Liv to see if she can help with the new sign.
 
There will be 3 ribbon cuttings coming up. Hometown Bank, Janet Baachus, and CBS.
 
There are 2 new businesses in town. Perfect Painting, and Kaleidoscope Graphics.
 
The Cab project is doing well with a possibility of 2 businesses partaking in it.
 
The pictures from the Easter Egg Hunt are on the Web Site. Andrea said she spent many hours getting them on the Web.
 
The quarterly meetings were discussed. We will be abiding by the by-laws. Jackie made a motion to have open meetings. This was tabled for another meeting.
 
Discussion was held on the Picnic Funds. All is well for this project.
 
It was approved by the Board to give $100 to the Summmer Reading Program at the library.
 
There were no other committee reports.
 
3 new Welcome Baskets were delivered and Chamber emails and phone calls were answered.
 
It was a short meeting and we adjourned.
