August 10, 2005 the Campbellsport Area Chamber of Commerce had a ribbon cutting at the Lunch Box. The meeting was held outside with breakfast served. Attending were Carrie Strean, Sheri Loehr, Joel Fleischman, Tom Krueger, Brenda Hicks-Sorensen, Scott Remmel, Lori Galligan, Patti Schickert, Jackie Rindt, Julie Roth, Jackie Lindsley, Lois Zingsheim, Rhonda Lichtensteiger, Dean Uelmen, Andrea Hansen Abler, Chris Schanan, Judy Christensen and Steve Vogelmann

Information Committee- Andrea and Tom Krueger Andrea reported that the books are done and ready for distribution. Tom will contact Travel Helper Marketing, which will distribute the books to over 90 places. The cost is $600.00 a year. Dean Uelmen made the motion, and seconded by Jackie Lindsley to hire Travel Helper.

Development - Joel Fleischman reported that the Coast to Coast was bought by Chris Candee. He will lease it out to anyone wanting to start a new business. Nothing to report on the progress of the sale of the Health Hut. Discussion was held about keeping the Village Hall downtown verses relocation. Dean said that it would be costly to bring the building up to code. And that $150,000 was committed to study and build a new village Hall by 2008.

Promotion – Jackie Lindsley. The Halloween Caper will be October 27th. Discussion about raising the costume prize money for kids and adding a costume contest for adults. Delete the fireworks this year.

The End of September Jackie will change the pots for fall with scarecrows, and fall silk foliage.

Tom Krueger donated 21 Norway Spruces for the pots for Christmas Holiday.

Decided to eliminate the House decorating contest and have a business only decorating contest this year.

The truck pull beer sales were very good. All monies will go to help buy new playground equipment and remodel the bathrooms. Note there will be 6 tapers next year, as no one could pour fast enough.

Anderea asked if anyone had picture of the picnic to please let her know, as she lost all when her computer went down.

Steve Vogelmann from High Cross Farms reported that there are about 5 vendors each Saturday. Chris Schanen will be chairing the grand opening in the early weeks of Sept. Approved up to $100 to be used for Fall Festival.

Judy Christensen reported that she had delivered 5 Welcome Baskets to new residents in July.

Chris Schanen reported that there are "Eat Campbellsport" shirts still available for $10.00

Lori Galligan reported that they were wondering about keeping the Peace Tree at the Convent light. They need proper burning lights and a truck to put them up.

Dean brought up the Village concerns that are upcoming.

    1. A trail connecting the entire village.
    2. Millpond Dam – DNR wants major changes to the dam in the next 15 years.

Next meeting Sept 14th 7 A.M. at the Community Center.
