Our monthly meeting was held at the new Convent facility which is located
behind the Campbellsport Post Office. It was formerly the Campbellsport
Medical Center. We had 12 members and guests in attendance.
Information and Tourism. Andrea could not be there for the meeting but Tom and
Julie informed us the the tourism letters have been sent out. Because of the
medical emergency the Moyers are experiencing we may try to find someone to
help Liv with this undertaking.
Business and Development: Dennis Kelliher from Hometown Bank will be the new
chair for this committee. We are looking for another business person to help
him as well.
Promotions and Events: We need a chair person for this committee. Several
people were discussed and efforts will be made to contact them to see if there
is any interest.
Financial Report: All is well. Money has been transferred to a CD. We have
money in a 3 month CD and a 6 month CD. Memberships are coming in slow and we
will know more after the annual meeting.
Lois discussed the Welcome Baskets, the annual dinner invitation, and the book
signing that may be coming up in the fall of this year. It was discussed that
another meeting will be held on this subject and we will determine what role
the Chamber will play in helping to promote the upcoming book.
Joel reported that the Truck Pull will not be held this year. In its place
will be a dodge ball tournament. The money from this project is still not
decided. The restrooms were discussed again and Dean mentioned that they
should be ready for the upcoming 4th of July picnic.
It was also discussed that there are interested parties willing to come to
Campbellsport and open a business but we have no available properties to work
with.
NSP will be recognized at the Annual Meeting . Gwen will receive her award
during the dinner.
Kettle Moraine Media Group is looking for an ad from the Chamber for its
tourism pamphlet.
The annul dinner was discussed and many would like to see this as a social
function rather than a business dinner. The chair people would give their
reports but it would be kept short. If anyone had questions then of course
they would be discussed.
Dr. Dean informed us that Campbellsport has qualified for trees for the
community.
St. Joseph's Convent is planning a calender for the fall. The price would be
somewhere around $7-$9.
Barb Hensen would like to see a run or walk take place on the trail sponsored
by the Chamber. Barb will be invited to a meeting so details can be worked
out.
The next meeting will be discussed after the annual dinner. Location to be
announced.
