The Campbellsport Area Chamber of Commerce Directors met January 7th, 2004 at C.C.Cody’s.
Present were Joel Fleischman, Judy Christensen, Dean Uelmen, Jackie Lindsley, Chris and Barb Schanen, Larry Koffmann.
The meeting began with a Village Sign Status report from Dean Uelmen. Guy Rice presented some samples of handcrafted, sandblasted signs, made of a material that will not rot, warp, crack etc. The sign committee will get a finalized package together and be ready with the figures at the February meeting.
Thirty-eight entrants for the House decorating contest. Each person visited received a box of Hughes candies. 9 winners received Chamber money in the sum of $25.00.
Joel reported that the Chamber Website has had over 6455 hits since it started in March 2002.
Beard-a-thon is ready to roll this will be discussed at the annual meeting, but a camera will be at the Chamber restaurants and the entrants have from April 1 to April 15th to sign up and have their pictures taken. Final judging will be July 3rd.
The financial Report Balance is $11,825.60
Outstanding bills are $340.20 to Ben Franklin for Hughes candies. Outstanding bill is
9@$25.00 certificates for House Decorating contest.It was voted to give $50.00 to the Knights of Columbus for their blood drive.
It was also decided to make that $50.00 donation a budget item each year.
By-laws were tabled until next meeting.
Judy Christensen will talk to Pat Adams about a letter/invitation to the Chamber members. She will send a rough draft to all directors before finalizing. This is to be completed before the next meeting.
