Chamber of Commerce Minutes for March 24, 2004
President Judy Holzmann at Johnson Bus called meeting to order at 12:00. All were treated to lunch. Present were Joel Fleischman, Mary Tuttle, Julie Roth, Ralene Guenther, Pat Adams, Larry Koffman, Judy Christensen, Dean Uelman, Jackie Lindsley, Lynn Serwe, Ms. Schmidt, Ike Perron, Andrea Hanson Abler, and Tom Krueger.
The minutes of February 18, 2004 were distributed and approved.
Committee Introductions and Reports.
Information-Larry Koffman Chairperson, Chad Schmitt Co-chair. Larry Koffman reported that Chris Schanen would be speaking on KFIZ on Sept. 17th at 9:40 a.m. He also indicated that he and Chad would be taking over the ribbon cutting responsibilities from Joel. The old tourism books will no longer be distributed. Larry and his committee will be talking with Joyce Kral from Kewaskum about combining the two areas.
Development Is Joel Fleischman Chairperson with Andrea Hansen Abler as his co-chair. Joel introduced his co-chair, listed the goals for CABDA (Campbellsport Area Business Development and Awareness). Informed the board that town of Brillion business development and awareness group will be scheduled in May. Brought everyone up to date on the website needs and development. Gave a very complete and exciting list of all the new added events for 4th of July celebration. This was with the knowledge and joint efforts of the Fire Department.
Promotions Jackie Lindsley Chairperson introduced her co-chair Ralene Guenther. Jackie announced that the Easter Egg event would be on April 10th at 1:00 at National Bank.
Customer appreciation Day is set for May 16th from the hours of 11:00 to 1:00. Judy Christensen offered to call the business people to ask for their participation again this year, and to ask what each business would be bringing for the event.
Mary Tuttle gave treasurer’s Report. Julie Roth will become the new treasurer. Mary will also be handing over the membership information to Julie. Judy Christensen was asked to call the indicated members to remind them that their membership monies and committee requests be submitted as soon as possible.
Old Business
Judy Holzmann and Tom Krueger will be attending the WRA dinner at the Amber on April 5, 2004.
Dean Uelman reported that the sign is under construction and would be ready by mid-April.
New Business
Discussion of what constitutes Development.
A denial for a request for Defibrillation monies was passed on a Roth /Krueger motion and carried.
Next Meeting will be April 14th at Lindsley’s at 7:00 A.M.
