March 9th Chamber Meeting

The Campbellsport Area Chamber of Commerce met on

Wednesday March 9, 2005 at Brookstreet Securities

Present were Judy Holzman, Andrea Hanson Abler, Jackie Rindt, Jackie Lindsley, Tom Krueger, Chris Schanen, Donna Vogt, Julie Roth, and Judy Christensen

Committee Reports

Information & Tourism – Andrea/Tom

Continue to work on the Tourism booklet, should have it all done by April

Discussed future Ribbon Cuttings when the weather is more favorable for outside events.

Business Development – Joel/Larry

No report

Promotions & Events – Jackie

Easter Egg hunt the 27th of March

No response from the questionnaire

Discussed and was given the ok to put an ad in the Kewaskum Statesman about annual events

Treasurer’s Report – Julie

$22,242.47 in the checkbook, and $8,764.68 in the Development Fund.

Discussed funds that are Earmarked for Picnic, Truck Pull, Business Development, and now the Tourism booklet.

 

Membership Report – Julie

The 2005 Membership is at present 22 business, 2 individual, 5 Non-profit. Letters to be sent out to former members, who have not as yet sent in their yearly dues.

The Annual Meeting was considered very successful.

Judy C’s Report

Tanya from the Roadhouse in Dundee interested in joining the Chamber. Gave that message to Tom Krueger

Mailed out brochures to Hurley Dept. of Tourism

Check the Care2.com and reply when it is appropriate.

New Business

Judy H. received a letter from the friends of the Kettle Moraine, and we will swap memberships for 2005, as this organization has always been a part of the Chamber.

Chris Schooner will talk to the distributor for a better price on the planters.

Next Meeting will be April 13th – at C.C. Cody’s in Campbellsport at 12:00 NOON
