Still waiting on a bill for advertising from the Campbellsport News. After donations and applying the balance from 2002, fireworks fund was left with a balance of $295 to be applied to next year. Discussed having more hay wagons for next year and starting the fireworks at 8:00 or 8:30 vs. 9:00. Also discussed using Uncle Sam's fireworks.
Dean Uelman gave a report on the Christmas House Decorating. Contestants must sign up by Dec.6th (Santa Day). Eligible area will include the 533 phone area or a Campbellsport mailing address. Judging will take place December 9th. Chamber members interested in attending need to RSVP to Judy Holzman or the web site before then. Judges will meet at Johnson Bus in Campbellsport at 5:00. A bus will be taken with judges from house to house. Decisions will be made that night with prizes awarded and winners published in the Campbellsport News the following week. Prizes will be awarded in 8 different categories on the judges discretion.
Santa Day in the village was also discussed. (December 6th). A motion was carried to share the cost of the Santa if the Lions did not cover it all.
No new progress on the Village signs.
Dean had a suggestion to incorporate a plastic duckie contest on the river for Customer Appreciation Day. More research will have to be done.
No new report from the Information Committee.
President Pat Adams opened discussion on when the annual Chamber of Commerce member meeting will be. Suggestions are wanted as to how to get nominations and hold elections for the new Directors as the 2-year term is ending. Discussion was tables until next meeting.
A need was expressed for a monthly financial report at Directors meetings. Motion was carried to incorporate that.
Dean Uelman brought to the table new business of a First Impressions Swap with Brillion. Timetable will be sometime around May. A group of 6 volunteers is needed to visit Brillion and assess their community as they will be doing to us. Visitors then publish their reports to a web site so it becomes public record. The village feels it would be helpful to get an outside impression of the community to see "What is people's perception of Campbellsport?" It would be preferred to have this as a Chamber run activity. Discussion was tabled for a later meeting.
Next Directors meeting to be held Dec. 3rd at 12:00 (lunch) at the Amber.
Meeting adjourned.
