Campbellsport Area Chamber of Commerce held it’s meeting at St. Joseph’s Convent on September 15, 2004. A delicious lunch was served to us in a private dining room. Thank-you sisters.

Present was Tom Krueger, Jackie Lindsley, Judy Holzman, Judy Christensen Julie Roth, Joel Fleischman, Dean Uelman, Liz Serwe, Donna Vogt. Convent personnel of Lori, Pattie Sister Dorothy, and Sister Joanne.

Committee Reports - Information & Tourism - Tom Krueger

Tom reported that the Kettle Countries visitors’ guide is finished and distributed to many of the local Chamber members and places that participated in the books. They will be distributed on a wider note this week.

He reported that April 1st. will usher in a new tourism booklet that will feature 30 to 40 word descriptions of each participating chambers place of business. This information will also be available on the Website.

There will be a Ribbon Cutting ceremony On Friday the 24th of September at 1:00 p.m.

Development – Joel

Joel reported that there would be a business development meeting on Sept. 22, at 12:00 at King Pin Lanes. The agenda will include information on business recruitment; land places to find things, flowerpots, and Brenda from FEDC will be there.

Jackie – Promotions & Events

The Halloween Caper will be the 28th. Complete with hayrides, haunted house at the high school, pony rides, petting zoo, space walk and volleyball courts. The haunted house will be in the old gym and everyone should have a safer spook trail.

Membership Report – Treasurer’s Report – Julie Roth

Julie Roth introduced Donna Vogt a certified financial planner from Brookstreet Securities Corporation.

Julie reported that there is a net bank balance of $17, 374.96 (balance after the $2000.00 check was issued to Dean Uelman.)

Old Business

Sign Cost – Has not been determined as yet, but The Chamber’s check of $2000.00 was issued to Dean Uelman. Dean stated that there had been private donations made, and he would come up with a definite cost soon.

New Business

Main St., beautification – flowerpots were order by Judy Holzman for use next year.

Liz Serwe talked about the Sept. 18th Bowl-a-thon for Annette Flasch.

Next Meeting set for October 13th at a to be determined spot. If you want to host a meeting let Judy Holzman know.

Meeting was adjourned and a tour was offered to those who were interested.
