Rules for TRUCK PULL IV
Teams are made up of 6 members for men (5 on the rope and 1 alternate /
cheerleader) and 9 for women (8 on the rope and 1 alternate/cheerleader).
Entry fee is $100 per team. All participants will receive a truck pull
t-shirt. 1st place will receive $750 ($500 cash and $250 donated to their
favorite non-profit organization), 2nd place $250 in chamber bucks, 3rd place $100
in chamber bucks. Limit
of 12 teams. Non-profit organization must be have a tax exempt number to
qualify.
Format based on 12 teams. (If less than 12 teams format may
change and all team captains will be informed before the start of TRUCK PULL IV
with the revised format.) After the parade on July 4th (approx. 1:30pm) at
CFD park, teams must register to begin competition. Competition will begin
after all teams are registered Each team will pull approximately 40,000lbs
(the Campbellsport Building Supply Boom truck loaded with 2X6'S) a distance of
up to 200'. A final trial run will be done prior to the actual pull.
If a representative from your team would like to attend the practice pull
contact Joel at 920-533-4412. The top 6 teams (determined by furthest
length, with quickest time being the tie breaker) will advance to the 2nd round.
If two or more teams pull the same length and the same time both teams will
advance if they qualify. Teams will pull randomly in the first round, and
by order of finish (poorest team going first) in second round and so on.
Top three teams in the second round will move on to the third round.
Women's competition will take place between rounds. Finals will determine
the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place team.
A representative from your team is encouraged to sit shotgun with the driver
of the boom truck to guarantee fair play. Any rulings will be the sole
discretion of the TRUCK PULL IVcompetition committee. All decisions are
final. Any team displaying poor sportsmanship may be disqualified.
$100 in chamber bucks and a SPIRIT STICK AWARD will go to the team (men or women's) with the
most spirit as determined by the TRUCK PULL IVstaff.
Truck Pull IV is part of the Campbellsport Fire Dept.'s picnic and parade.
NO carry-ins will be allowed in the park. Food, beverages and other
entertainment are available at the park. Profits from TRUCK PULL III will
go to upgrade the bathrooms and playground equipment at fireman's park.
There will be a fireworks display after TRUCK PULL III at dusk.
Rain or shine teams will compete.
