CAMPBELLSPORT C.A.B. PROGRAM ROLLING ALONG
Another business is benefiting from the innovative efforts of the
Campbellsport Area Chamber of Commerce (CACC). The Bean Street Cafe
has recently received a $2500 grant from the CACC and supporting
Campbellsport businesses for their new business venture on118 West
Main Street in Campbellsport. Using the C.A.B. Project the CACC is
moving Campbellsport forward.
Cheri
Stoffel, founder of Bean Street Café, mission is to provide the
highest quality coffee, tea, and food with exceptional customer
service, creating a positive, memorable experience for every
customer. She is serving a menu of sandwiches, home made quality
soups, and bakery. Numerous Ice cream flavors are also available.
Customers are able to dine in a quaint, comfortable atmosphere.
Carry outs are also available. They are open Monday, Wednesday and
Saturday from 5:30am-2pm. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday they are
open from 5:30am-7pm. Sundays they are closed.
What is the
“C.A.B. project?” The C.A.B. project stands for Campbellsport
Attracting Businesses. The CACC mission with the project is to
improve the business climate in the Village of Campbellsport, to
improve the facade of existing businesses and create more retail,
service and light industrial businesses in general. This mission
will also enhance the quality of life in the Campbellsport Area.
To entice
entrepreneurs that are looking to move their business from out of
town into the village of Campbellsport, expand locations into
Campbellsport, or begin a new adventure the CACC is offering a free
grant for pre-approved businesses that open their doors within the
Campbellsport village limits. With the help of National Exchange
Bank, Campbellsport Building Supply, and Dr. Dean Uelmen the CACC
will offer new businesses $2,500 in start up money.
The grant program is based on a first come first served basis. If
you are thinking about beginning a business in Campbellsport do not
delay. Available properties are available now. “With the Eisenbahn
trail, our new subdivisions, the Kettle Moraine, great access to
urban areas with our expanded highway systems, as well as our great
quality of life, Campbellsport is already a great place to start a
business,” explains Tom Krueger CACC president. “We are using the
CAB program to enhance our great village even more. Our goal is to
change the culture of Main Street Campbellsport and the Village as a
whole. For example, the CACC started a successful village market as
well as placing flower pots throughout town. It brings people into
Campbellsport on Saturday mornings and the pots help to make
Campbellsport more attractive. These are small things but the
change is noticeable. Cultural changes take time, although we at do
believe the CACC is helping already.”
The CAB program also offers a matching grant program for existing
businesses to improve their façade. So far three local businesses
have received $500 each for their improvements, as well as another
has been approved. "We are very excited for both programs," said
Tom. "With a lot of help from the Fond du Lac County Economic
Development Corporation we were able to develop an aggressive
program to help the business climate in Campbellsport."
