A meeting was
held at King Pin Lanes for those who were interested in the Chamber Farmers
Market. There were 10 members and guests in attendance. This meeting was
mostly a brainstorming session as to how the market should be run and what
the members would like the market to become in the future.
Many ideas were
suggested as well as comments as to why or why not they would work. It was
decided to keep things pretty much as they are at this time. In the future
we would like to see craft items, food and drink, entertainment, and social
clubs involved. Some of this may take place this year if things get
organized.
It was also
discussed whether or not to include all of the businesses on Main Street. It
was concluded that the more people that would be involved, the better for
everyone. The changes will have to come over a period of time.
Any suggestions
are welcomed. And any help that would be offered would be accepted. The
Chamber is trying to make the vendors welcomed and would like to reward them
with a dinner to address their needs and wants.
Janet Backhaus
has the signs ready to be posted, and will have them distributed. The market
is scheduled to open the third week in June.
