Minutes for
meeting held Tuesday, May 8, 2007
The meeting
was held at Auburn Bluffs Golf Course. There were 12 members in
attendance.
Andrea
reported that the map that they have been working on has gone to the
printers and should be ready by the end of the month. 50 businesses are
included on this map.
Joel gave a
report on the Farmers Market. It will open Saturday, June 16th. The
signs are ready to be distributed. On Saturday, August 4 the Farmers
Market will have a huge day with lots of activities going on. It will
run from 8-11a.m. Janet Backhaus is helping with this venture. She is
also posting the signs for the market.
We have
several new members to the Chamber and memberships keep coming in.
June 28th
the FDL Symphonic Band will play at Firemen's Park. St. Matts will
provide an ice cream social at this event. We are in need of help to get
the park ready for this event. Anyone who could donate some time please
call Julie Roth or Lois Zingsheim.
The July
4th celebration was discussed. 103 letters were sent out to Chamber
members and other business leaders for sponsorship for the dodge ball
contest. Please contact Joel if you would like to be a sponsor or if you
would like to help at this event.
We are also
looking for volunteers to help in the beer stand and hamburger stand as
well as people willing to help with the Rock, Paper, Scissors Contest.
Please contact Joel, Lois, Tom, Julie, or Scott.
The
planters will be on the streets by May 23rd. Judy said all is going well
with this project.
The Library
asked for a donation as well as the CAA. Both of these donations were
turned down as the Chamber does not support individual organizations.
The next
meeting will be Wednesday June 13, at 5p.m. at the Campbellsport Inn.
