Hiking:

More than a half-dozen hiking trails have been established in this section of the forest. Maps of all area hiking trails are available at the Mauthe Lake and Long Lake Recreation Areas, and Ice Age Visitor Center.

Riding:

The 33 mile Kettle Moraine Bridle Trail plus two loop trails, runs from Hwy. H to approximately one mile southeast of Glenbeulah. Horses can be rented from private stables nearby. The trail is marked with orange markers.

Golf:

A 9-hole golf course is located 1 mile east of Campbellsport; while an 18-hole course is located approximately 6 miles west of Campbellsport on Hwy. 67. In addition, there is a 27-hole course in Kewaskum as well (located 5 miles south of Campbellsport on Hwy. 45).

Old Wade House:

A state historical site located at the village of Greenbush which features an old country inn, restored with original period furnishings. A fine collection of carriages is housed at the carriage museum.

Skatepark:

The area's new premier indoor skate park.  Tons of ramps and fun.  Open year round.  Also gaming room.  Daily sessions available.  3 miles north of Campbellsport and 3 miles west of Dundee in downtown Waucousta on Highway 45.

Fishing:

Almost all the waters in the forest area offer good fishing. Both Long Lake and Mauthe Lake contain walleyes, northern pike, largemouth bass, and panfish. Licenses are available at area sport shops, the Mauthe Lake Forest Headquarters, or at the Ice Age Visitor Center.

Swimming:

The beaches at Mauthe Lake and Long Lake are open. There are bathhouses at these beaches. As there are no lifeguards provided, strict supervision is advised to stress safe swimming.

Hunting:

The Northern Kettle Moraine area has the most diversified hunting of anywhere in the state- goose and duck hunting as a result of the proximity to Horicon Marsh, excellent deer hunting for both gun and bow, turkey, and fine small game hunting with a plentiful supply of pheasants, rabbits, squirrel, and grouse. A large number of pheasants are planted each fall by a number of sportsmen's clubs which are active in the Campbellsport area. Hunting is not allowed in restricted areas.

Parnell Tower:

The Parnell Observation Tower, located at the head of Parnell Trail, affords and outstanding view of the Kettle Moraine countryside. It is located on the highest point of the forest (1311 feet above sea level) and is 300 to 450 feet above the surrounding countryside.

Dundee Mountain:

A conical shaped hill formed during the melting of the last glacier, is a world famous kame. The summit 1 mile loop trail has been constructed to the top. Visitors can have an exhilarating experience of climbing the kame and viewing the outstanding glacial features.
